Filippo Giusti
Born in Livorno, Italy in 1990, originally trained as an actor and photographer in Rome. His path as a painter began unexpectedly when he moved to Mexico in 2018—a transition that opened a new chapter of creative exploration.
Entirely self-taught, Filippo built his artistic foundation through online courses, YouTube tutorials, and a relentless personal discipline. Today, he is known for his unique style of portraits that explore vulnerability, diversity, and empathy.
He has exhibited his work in galleries across Mexico and Europe, as well as in various international art fairs.
Among the highlights of his career are his participation in the Art For Tomorrow event held within the framework of the Venice Biennale, his solo exhibition at the Museum of Art of Querétaro, his solo show at the Club de Industriales in Mexico City, where he created a piece in dialogue with Rufino Tamayo and, more recently, his solo show in the historical building of the Mexican Senate followed by a solo show at the City Hall Gallery in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
His work is defined by an approach he calls “Essentialism.”
At the core of his artistic vision lies an invitation to transcend immediate judgments based solely on appearances, instead encouraging deep reflection and the cultivation of empathy.
Before he begins to paint, Giusti engages in conversation — he listens, observes, and dialogues with his models in order to translate their stories into a language of color.
He is also an international speaker, having been invited to share his vision with organizations such as TEDx, EO (Entrepreneurs' Organization), Actinver Bank, and FOROGO.
