Filippo Giusti recently presented his second solo exhibition of the year at the Gallery of the Municipal Palace of Playa del Carmen, consolidating a project of great relevance within the region’s cultural landscape.

This exhibition represents the most significant investment the city has allocated to a public fine arts exhibition to date, setting a precedent in its commitment to promoting art and culture in the Mexican Caribbean. Within this context, Giusti’s work was selected as the central focus of an initiative aimed at strengthening the presence of contemporary art in public space.

As part of the program, the artist carried out a series of community engagement activities including live painting sessions, talks, and guided tours for children, youth, and adults, with groups ranging from 50 to 100 participants. These activities created opportunities for direct interaction between the artistic process and the public.

The exhibition represented a collective effort that resulted in a meaningful project for the city, actively contributing to the development of its cultural identity.

This project is part of a broader vision: the belief that art holds a transformative power capable of redefining the identity of a city.

Filippo Giusti presentó recientemente su segunda exposición individual del año en la Galería del Palacio Municipal de Playa del Carmen, consolidando un proyecto de gran relevancia dentro del panorama cultural de la región.

Esta muestra representa la inversión más significativa que la ciudad ha destinado hasta ahora a una exposición pública de bellas artes, marcando un precedente en su apuesta por el impulso del arte y la cultura en el Caribe mexicano. En este contexto, la obra de Giusti fue seleccionada como eje central de una iniciativa orientada a fortalecer la presencia del arte contemporáneo en el espacio público.

Como parte del programa, el artista llevó a cabo una jornada de vinculación con la comunidad que incluyó pintura en vivo, charlas y recorridos guiados para niñas, niños, jóvenes y adultos, con grupos de entre 50 y 100 participantes. Estas actividades generaron un espacio de encuentro directo entre el proceso artístico y el público.

La exposición representó un esfuerzo conjunto que dio lugar a un proyecto significativo para la ciudad, contribuyendo activamente al desarrollo de su identidad cultural.

Este proyecto se enmarca en una visión más amplia: la convicción de que el arte posee un poder transformador capaz de redefinir la identidad de una ciudad.
